Alrighty, the stage is set. This week the Oceanic Six is confirmed and probably a whole lot of new questions besides that one reveal. But hopefully at least one more answer. Let's do it up.
As the episode begins, we still wonder who the mysterious boat man is. Michael or is it a total surprise?
Ah the Freighter opens the episode, and here walks the pilot. Looks like he may be in trouble with the big dude. Frank has a meeting, but what for? A meeting with the captain perhaps? He is not to be late. Frank seems to be helping our guys, but seems quite out of the loop. Sayid wants to talk with the captain, but Frank warns him that the captain aint no nice dude. Well why not?
Jin and Sun, one of the shows better relationship stories but hopefully tonight will not be a rehashing of old stuff (like last week) but yet more revelations, perhaps a flash forward? Jin's English is amazing after only three months. What a sweet scene as they discuss baby names, it seems that Jin has the name all picked out. This cannot be a good thing, because that is the name of the episode.
Okay, first flash, is it a flash back or flash forward? Oh the suspense! Sun is quite pregnant and feeling pain! What is wrong with the baby? Flash forward. BOOM. Lost begins.
As we return from commercial we see Jin searching for a panda for Sun. Yes, he is going to the maternity ward, and he does not know the baby's gender. What does this mean???
Kate and Jack are back, and Kate is bitter about her little head boo boo. I really hate that Charlotte, she is just not cool at all. Kate, for all of her flaws, at least thinks about what is happening right now, including Juliet's lie and the blunt trauma to the head. Kate knows that rescue is not a priority, and it looks like Sun has been running through all of these things in her head.
Des and Sayid chillin' when suddenly a note is slipped under the door. I really would like to find out who this is passing notes and helping them out, because if we don't find out soon the intrigue will quickly die and the plot line will be very boring and contrived.
Sun takes some initiative and confronts Daniel head on, with her baby news as ammo. Poor Daniel, he is so good but he has no real power. Jack is impressed with Jin's English lessons, HE SHOULD BE! He must have used Rosetta Stone in the hatch or something, cause that dude can speak it. Sun is now ordering Jin around and he is taking it, my how the tables have turned, but in a good way. Sun has a plan, and she has now seemingly defected to Camp Locke. Hopefully John will actually do something with his new allies.
Sun is in Juliet's tent, and Juliet is trying to force Sun's hand, but I am doubting that this will work. Her lying is catching up with her, so shut up and don't expect people to trust you. You are a former other, and last week you were still doing Ben's will. Sun in hospital, and the nurses recognize her as Oceanic Six. So there you go folks, Jin and Sun are in the mix. This doctor coming in seems creepy, and he is not her regular physician. He does not seem stressed at all, which is goofy. Cut to Jin trying to get to the hospital in some sort of comic relief role, as the panda gets taken away in a cab. Then Jin gets a new one with some mad cash, obviously from the Oceanic settlement.
Back on the island, Kate helps Sun and Jin leave for Locke's camp. Juliet again tries to stop the trip, would she just shut up! Oh my goodness, Juliet just told Jin about the affair!!! YOU STUPID IDIOT!!!! She has learned too much from Ben, exploiding
people's secrets for her own gain. I don't buy for a second that she cares about Sun. Oh, I hate her more than Charlotte!
Now I have calmed down, but I can't believe Juliet!! Then again, the lesson is that our sins often catch up with us. Sun needs Jin now more than ever, but her mistakes have come full circle. Oh this is bad Lost fans. Jin, gather the strength to overcome! What a great scene by the writers, with the only two married guys on the boat. And Bernard is such a calming presence most of the time. And here is an explanation for Rose leaving the island with Jack and risking her cancer returning - it was the right thing
to do?! Okay, whatever. Karma explains it all I guess. Just like with Sun's choices, they have returned unto her.
Back to the freighter - hopefully this does not become another hatch in Season Two, where we just sit here for weeks. Well, maybe not, the captain would like to see them now. Uh oh, the copter is gone! Oh boy, what does this mean? Wait, that messed up lady is about to jump off the ship! She did, and Desmond is going nuts. The whole ship seems very calm, they are completely willing to let her simply die. The captain is not deterred in the least. Hopefully he will actually talk to Des and Sayid, for our sake!
Apparently the captain wants to turn the ship around but our mystery saboteur has not allowed them to leave, resulting in countless deaths from some sort of time shifting induced crazy spell! Yup, more questions friends. But the captain drops the bombshell that Widmore is the big boss, Desmond must be reeling!
Wait, the captain has the black box for 815, and says that all of the passengers were found dead. We know this to be on the news, but how is this possible! My brain is splitting. Obviously Widmore has spent a ton of money on finding them. Perhaps he is really not that bad after all? Maybe he really is trying to get to the truth for the good of mankind? I doubt it, but the captain's observations about the staged reckage smells of Ben's immense capabilities, which have been hinted at lately, especially with his easy access to millions of dollars. This is getting good.
Juliet comes to apologize to Sun, too late sister. Sun, don't trust her. Yes, I know that she is telling the truth about the pregnancies, but I still don't trust her whole plan or intentions. Also, if what she is saying is indeed truth, then the Oceanic Six will be off of the island very soon, within three weeks at the most! Maybe by the end of Season Four perhaps! Wow.
Flash to Sun, who has now given birth to her baby in about 10 seconds, but the baby looks quite realistic. Jin didn't make it! That really sucks.
Back to the boat, where Sayid and Des get new diggs. Okay, the moment we have all been waiting for, because it is obvious that Johnson who is mopping down the hall is indeed Michael, the mysterious helper. Here comes the big reveal. And there it is! Michael in the flesh. Lost is the bomb, even as we knew it was coming, still very cool. Bring on the questions about Michael's journey since betraying the Losties and leaving the island.
Jin has returned to Sun, and even gives her a smile. Jin, you are a good man deep inside. You have full redemption within your grasp. Let's see if JIn's forgiveness will indeed allow Sun to be redeemed as well. Juliet did do some good convincing, and obviously the result is that Sun successfully gives birth off island. Yeah, the baby is Jin's. Now, with all of this forgiveness and loving, I hope there are no more plot lines of strife between these two.
Flash to Jin, who is finally arriving at the hospital with the panda. Wait, he is working for Mr. Paik again? That is not his baby! And now he is leaving the hospital, what on Earth is going on! Must be another surprise Lost ending. Is it just me, or was Sun giving birth and yelling for Jin, because now Jin has only been married for two months and Sun is getting ready to go out. What is this!! Help Lost!!
Now Hurley is in Korea to see Sun's baby. And no Jin. What?? This is nutty. Where is Jin? The baby looks like him, but he is not there. Oh my goodness, they are visiting Jin's grave!!!!! OH MAN!!! This episode is shaping up to be super sweet. So during her delivery, was she frantically calling for Jin because she was delirious? Yes, that is indeed it. So what is the deal, did Jin fake his death or something? He is still working for her dad? Was that whole Jin story a flashback? Maybe I need to take a break, I am not thinking straight.
Alrighty then, maybe I will be straightened out this weekend. Until next time, hope you enjoyed!
A great episode, very satisfying.

It is Almost Lost Thursday!!
So it is already Wednesday! Things are looking up all of the sudden, I wonder why? Hmmmm.
Oh yes, LOST FOOL! Tomorrow is Thursday, yet another week of excitement (we hope).
Last week's episode was a bit more old school, kind of out of place in this season, kind of slow, more of a character study, but somehow, in my opinion, was more of the essence of Lost.
No, we didn't learn a lot, and no, the plot was not that great, but unlike The Constant, I didn't feel like I was being forced into the show's mythology. The Other Woman was classic fare that makes us remember why we got into the show in the first place.
Having said all that, let's get going Damon and Carlton! Bring us back to the frantic pace of the first few episodes of the year, we love it!
We'll see what happens, until tomorrow!

4.6 The Other Woman LIve Blogging
Well kiddies, after my obligatory re-watching of The Constant and a bowl of Frosted Flakes, I am ready to jump into another new episode of Lost!!! Yeah baby. This week should move much more quickly and hopefully give us some updates of a few others around the island, and possibly another member of the Oceanic Six. Gotta love Thursdays!
Ah, Juliet in the future at therapy. Or is it? Nope, old beardy enters, I do love Tom. Juliet in the PAST!!! Another flashback, you gotta love Lost. Ben woos Juliet with all kinds of goodies in Old Otherton, including a new house to her self. That Ben, always a charmer, and some nice flowers in hand as well. I like the six-month reference, because we know that Juliet will still be on the island years later.
Uh oh, Charlotte and Daniel have left to run around the jungle, and Jack's secrecy has caught up with him, as the rest of the camp still thinks that rescue is imminent. But we know better. So Juliet is out in the jungle, looking for them, and who shows up but the whispers and her old Other doctor. Oh snap, the Others are back to take revenge on one of their own.
So the therapist delivers a message from Ben! (who is locked up, he is so crafty). Apparently Ben wants to be a captive with Locke, he can still pull the strings. Daniel and Charlotte are off to the tempest, bound to release gas and kill everyone on the island, just like Ben did during the Dharma purge. BTW, will the whispers ever be explained? The whispers come, Jack turns around, and the creepty therapist vanashes. The Losties need a trick like that. Interesting that Ben is still giving orders out, AND that he wants Juliet to take care of it over all of the loyal Others. hmmmmmmm.
Flashback to Juliet crying, probably because of another lost patient. Goodwin comes to the hospital and meets Juliet for the first time. Yes indeed, Juliet is taking all of the responsibility for the dying mothers. And Harper, the therapist, does not seem to be a very nice person. Whoops! Juliet disses her in front of her husband. Seems like she is quite a little flirt as well.
Okay, Jack and Juliet in the rain, and of course Juliet will not explain the Tempest. Wonderful. And dumb Jack will help everybody with little explanation.
What are those two Freighters doing? What is Dan up to? I want to believe he is a good guy, but he is just so weird. And I do not like Charlotte. Speaking of which, she pulls a gun on Kate!
Even though I don't like Kate, she is good for something. Kate is savvy, and she bothers Daniel instead of Charlotte, good thinking. Except that Kate got pistol-whipped, not good thinking. Anyone could have saw that coming.
Jack and Juliet still on the move as Juliet is ashamed of her past. Flashback time...
Still more discussion on the babies dying. Only happens to women on the island, maybe because...doh! Goodwin interrupts about a sandwich, creating some strange tension between Ben, Juliet, and Goodwin. Who is the other man here? Does Juliet like either of them? What is the point of her therapy sessions?
This therapist is a nut, she is no therapist at all. She is a crazy lady, vindictive and bitter. Juliet really is a home wrecker, and now she is reaping what she sows. A warning from crazy lady, Ben will take matters into his own hands if he finds out. Seems like Ben loves Juliet because of her resemblence to someone else he loves (that girl, mom, who?) and will kill Goodwin if he needs to. Oh boy, I am sure he would.
Yes, back to Locke, dude still rocks. Why is Claire asking about Miles? She hasn't done jack all series and now she is assertive all the sudden? Come on Claire, get real. John is losing more control by the midnight, with Claire making power plays. Ben asks if the rabbit had a number on it - slick reference to the Orchid video. So Ben even knows about that! Man, he is so manipulative, and Locke falls right into it. Ben promises to spill the beans on the Freighter's boss for a little bit of freedom, but Locke refuses. And of course Ben is completely confident and states "then I will have to show you." What would Lost be without Ben's character? It would be a completely different show for sure, Michael Emerson is just fantastic.
Juliet and Goodwin fun time at the beach. This cannot be good at all. DID GOODWIN SAY THE SUB? How accessible was this sub, where did it go, and how much are the Others using the sub? Why does Goodwin have access to it and not Juliet? Anyways... How can you be private on an island Goodwin? Goodwin is working with the deadly chemicals that are not being used to perhaps destroy the island. Got to love Goodwin's attitude "What's Ben gonna do?" You idiot, a ton!!!
OH, the plane crash again, and Goodwin runs to the tail section, separated from his lover and scorned lady.
Back to present island action, where Jack and Juliet continue to race towards the Two and now find Kate all beat up. What is their purpose?! Juliet has run off for water? I think not friends. And yes, Farraday has gas masks- still leaving us wondering what the Freighters are up to- do they want to kill everyone and start fresh? And why all of the sudden does Ben feel okay about their presence and have such confidence in Juliet?
Back to the Barracks, where John Locke has listened to Ben and has released him - Ben, give us answers now!!!! (will Locke keep his end of the bargain? He is a changed man of late.)
Nice reference to the Red Sox series tape that Ben showed Jack in Season Three. What could possibly be on this tape? WIDMORE!!! All the Lost pieces are coming together, and our assumptions about Widmore's endless pursuit of the island and its powers are now being affirmed. What is his plan for the island? Re-up Dharma, or something more sinister? Ben is showing his love for the island, he sees himself as the ultimate protector. Locke now has all of the clues we need to discover what is going on this season. Who is the man on the boat??? Ben advises that we all sit down folks!
Good thing Kate is a tracker because Juliet has run off faster than Jack and Kate can match. Stop talking and catch up you two! Juliet arrives at the power station, home of some secret Ben chemical work. Where are C & D? Flashback to Ben, who looks very excited to spend time with Juliet. Interesting discussion about THE LIST, Ben sure does seem to have undying faith in Jacob.
Back to Juliet, who sees Farraday hard at work in a hazmat suit. Daniel looks heartbroken at her sight, not nervous. Could these two actually be doing some good here? Dan is so great, always a mystery.
Oh man, the ladies are going at it! Can we trust Dan? And if this is such a noble mission, then why is Charlotte so angry all of the time? She has been a liar from the beginning, so who knows. Was Ben really trying to kill everyone? Is that it? SO WHY DIDN'T DAN AND CHARLOTTE JUST SAY SO!! IDIOTS!!
Flashback to Juliet, who discusses Ben's treatment options with Dr. Jack. Ben doesn't seem to care, he is more concerned with Juliet's lover. And it seems that Ben indeed did send Goodwin to his death. Ben says "Juliet is mine!" He is just as prone to love-sickness as any other leader. Strange stuff.
How does Ben control so much while being a captive? He knew where C&D were going, he knew to send Juliet to kill them, and it almost worked? Did he really just want to kill everyone, even himself? On the other hand, we still know that rescue is not Charlotte's mission, so yeah, they saved everyone's lives, but what does that mean to Charlotte in relation to her mission? Should the Losties really be grateful if they are not be rescused?
Only three minutes until the end of this week's show - do we get to find out who the man on the boat is? Please, pretty please!?! Juliet states that Ben will win the war for the island, then expresses her love for Jack (she falls in love fast I guess), and now they kiss while Kate goofs around inside the Tempest. Wow, lost going on, will she run back to Sawyer just like he predicted?
Here at the end, a little love for Sawyer and Hurley, as they watch in amazement at Ben's release. What a sweet ending, and well acted by Mr. Emerson. "See you at dinner". Nice stuff, not exciting in the least bit, not on par with the beginning of the year, and frankly a let down after the break in the action we took last week.
Let me know what you think all, a typical Lost flashback episode sure seems lackluster now that we have seen the future.
More this weekend.

4.5 Afterthoughts
Well, apparently I disagree with almost every Lost fan on the internet, who loved the Constant. I still feel like we were building momentum this season and then this episode comes along and puts everything on hold.
In retrospect, I do see how important the ideas presented in the ep. are to understanding some key mysteries to Lost, but as a singular episode I was not intrigued or really even interested because we have seen Desmond time travel before. Plus, I didn't really care for Flashes Before Your Eyes when it aired either. Maybe I have something about time travel.
But there are so many characters now, and so many more back stories to be told, I just felt like this was a huge pull-back on the reigns of the season - I hope this week's new episode brings a little forward motion back into things.
No doubt I am still obsessed and loving Lost!!
